This training course will feature tutorials, discussions, as well as hands-on practical exercises that demonstrate the principles and concepts of degradation kinetics assessment of active substances of plant protection products, biocides, general chemicals and their degradation products, including the practical application in EU regulatory process.
The virtual training course will include:
Various types of degradation kinetic models, data processing and assessment of goodness-of-fit.
Degradation kinetics assessment of soil and water/sediment studies to derive: (i) persistence end- points; (ii) modelling endpoints according to FOCUS and EFSA guidance using the current version of CAKE v3.5; and (iii) overall modelling endpoint from the laboratory and field soil DegT50 values according to EFSA guidance.
Normalization procedures for laboratory and field DegT50 /DT50 values to reference soil moisture (pF2) and temperature (20°C) conditions.
Derivation of field soil photolytic DegT50/DT50 values by normalization to the reference irradiance.
