Environmental fate and behaviour

Gemma joined CEA in 2018 as a Consultant. She holds a BSc in Environmental Science and PhD in Geochemistry, both from the University of Leeds. Her PhD researched the interactions of trace metals with soil components, working towards developing a mechanistic understanding of contaminant behaviour in natural soils and the best remediation methods. She is now a member of the Environmental Fate and Behaviour team and works on a wide range of higher tier field fate investigations such as field leaching and dissipation studies, drainflow and runoff studies, shallow and deep groundwater monitoring, spray drift evaluation, and volatilization and redeposition studies.
